Clocks-from-clouds is the very idea behind digital technology. Limit signals to a few well-separated levels, allowing to detect and discard noise from transmission and processing.

For us to transition to purity, we must accept some changes.

First one, removal of singletons. For example, if you are shopping, you should no longer have the button “add to _the singleton_ shopping cart”. Instead, you add it to a shopping cart you allocated locally. You only transmit the shopping cart to order it. (Of course, the whole environment can be over a network, so the shopping website will have the opportunity to spy on your cart and send you fake promos.)
